Riddle was sixteen when he opened the Chamber of Secrets fifty years before the events of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, making him sixty-six in that book/movie. Doing the math, in Deathly Hallows during his final duel with Harry, he is seventy-one, which is the reverse of seventeen, Harry's age at the time.
